A&F Chambers are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our client in Chelmsford.

This role would suited to someone with 1-3 years' experience under their belt looking for a new challenge. Plenty of scope for progression with a very supportive Financial Controller on board.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, duties include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Maintain fixed asset registers
  • Daily credit control
  • Inter-company accounts reconciliations
  • Maintaining purchase ledger
  • Carry out supplier statement reconciliations
  • Coding and entry of all invoices
  • Oversee purchase order system
  • Assist with preparation of monthly supplier payment runs
  • Production of daily invoices
  • Customer reports and monthly statement runs
  • Any other ad hoc duties as and when required

Person Specification:

  • Manufacturing or Engineering industry experience ideal but not essential
  • Able to work as part of a close knit dynamic team
  • Self-motivated and have a flexible approach to work
  • Positive attitude
  • IT Literate, with experience using Sage 50 accounts desirable but not essential
  • Driver with access to transport
