Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes

FCO Services work with government-level customers worldwide, offering services including secure construction, secure IT and digital solutions, secure logistics and more. We build and repair embassies. We carefully move government servers to the Cloud. We make sure critical deliveries stay safe as they move across the world. And on top of all that, we make sure we provide UK taxpayers with value for money.

Naturally, that wouldn’t be possible without the work of our Finance department here in the UK – and you’ll play a key role in supporting that team. As our Management Accountant, you’ll enable colleagues across the Finance Office to deliver a first-class service, as you review our compliance controls and provide accurate reporting on and recovery of labour costs across all our functions.

Report labour costs for a workforce with exceptional impact

You’ve only recently gained your professional accounting qualification, but you’re ready to take the next step. This move into our Finance Office will see you take on all kinds of responsibilities, from monitoring labour charges to tracking efficiency programmes to spearheading CapEx and OpEx projects – for an organisation whose impact spans continents. Whether it’s ensuring accurate charging for new starters and leavers; reviewing corporate labour reporting, or reconciling our contractor charges, you’ll take it all on with drive, commitment – and an unwavering eye for detail. It’s an effort that won’t go unnoticed, either, since you’ll be providing monthly reports to senior management, giving insight on our business performance.

Support a team that supports critical government work

Work on a scale like ours needs an exceptionally co-ordinated team – and the Finance Office is no exception to that. From day to day, you’ll be liaising with a range of colleagues. You could be helping HR Business Partners in costing headcount changes, or helping Project Accountants analyse net overhead project expenditure. You might even be working with the Systems team to ensure we’re getting all the right financial information from our IT systems. But no matter the task, whoever you work with, your enthusiasm and cooperation will shine through – and you’ll help us provide a better overall service because of it.

Find your job bigger – and your benefits too

At FCO Services, you’re applying your newfound qualification and building on your skills – but you’re also doing it for an organisation with extraordinary impact. The sense of purpose is refreshing – and so are the benefits, whether it’s the perks and pension that come with a Civil Service career, or our excellent support for work-life balance, including flexible working and an onsite OFSTED-registered nursery. You’ll find that you’re equipped to do your best work here, with an impact you never imagined. In short? It’s your job, bigger.

All our employees have to be security cleared to the highest level, so you will need to undergo a comprehensive vetting process before joining.
