Risk & Internal Controls Business Partner
Fantastic opportunity for a Risk & Internal Controls Business Partner to be part of this expanding Midlands business.

A strong Internal Control environment and effective Risk Management process is critical to this business, particularly in light of the mandatory requirement to be Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) compliant as a result of their parent company, being a US registrant. As part of this US registered and top multinational, internal controls, risk management and SOx compliance are a key cornerstone, and this position has a major role in ensuring the businesses compliance to these requirements.
In addition to embedding and streamlining their approach to Sarbanes Oxley (SOx) requirements throughout the organisation, the Risk and Internal Controls Business Partner will also support financial and operational risk management.
Effective engagement with a wide range of Internal and External stakeholders including Internal and External Audit is critical to the successful delivery of this role, with the requirement to support and challenge.
Business support throughout operational audits is a key requirement.
Close engagement with the IT Internal Controls Manager and an understanding of IT General Controls will form a critical part of this role.
Works in partnership with the IT SOx compliance and controls manager to ensure that IT deliverables are clearly defined and aligned with the Finance and BU requirements.
Engages with the Finance Transformation PMO to maintain awareness of business projects / change activities to consider potential SOx issues.
The successful candidate will be NQ-2 yrs PQE currently working in external audit or internal audit in practice and have some SOX relevant client exposure.
Alternatively the individual will be currently doing a similar role in industry and be looking to step up in a smaller team.
