Finance Officer/Analyst – MI5, MI6 and GCHQ

Location(s): Central London, Cheltenham

Add value where it matters most

MI5, MI6 and GCHQ, our UK intelligence agencies, work together to keep the country safe. Behind the scenes, there is an exceptional Finance team providing outstanding support. As a Finance Officer/Analyst it is here that you will be tasked with vital work that shapes all three agencies’ business decisions. Working across a broad range of areas to help them manage their money, you will be adding value where it matters most.

About the role

If you have an aptitude for finance and want to develop those skills further then, this is your opportunity to work in a team and help provide financial information to customers. Following monthly and year-end procedures and keeping data records up-to-date, you will work closely with the rest of the team, especially when it comes to forecasting and financial planning. With an opportunity to help implement improvements in systems and processes, you will make sure the function is the best it can be.

About you

You will be AAT-qualified (studying/preparing to study for) or with a Finance degree (or equivalent). You will have worked on budgets or the reconciliation of suspense accounts. You will know your way around MS Office, particularly MS Excel. Ideally, you will also be familiar with ERP accounting systems. However, it is your flair for teamwork and communication, which will make you stand out.

If you have the drive and talent to develop your career, we will provide the financial and study support you need to gain Chartered Accountant status.

We particularly welcome applications from women and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates.
