A Top 30 Firm with an office in Central London are looking for an Employment Tax Assistant Manager. The firm is looking for someone ATT qualified with a minimum of three years’ experience of employment tax. CTA study support is available.

The Role

You will be responsible for looking after a portfolio of clients assisting them with a wide range of employment tax related issues.


  • Ensure that all work is produced in accordance with the firm’s standards, policies and procedures
  • Provide an efficient and proactive service to clients and ensure that the clients’ needs are met
  • Undertake client projects within agreed timescales and to budget
  • Produce work of the required standard in a timely and effective manner
  • Research technical issues and demonstrate a good working knowledge of the legislation
  • Look after a portfolio of clients including billing management
  • Resolve client issues with assistance on technical matters
  • Support the Senior Management of the firm to deliver a strong Employment Taxes offering
  • Assist other departments with employment tax related queries, as and when required

The Candidate

  • ATT qualified or equivalent level of proven experience
  • Experience of managing client relationships and able to resolve client issues with assistance on technical issues
  • Good working knowledge of the legislation and HMRC guidance
  • Experience dealing with employer compliance reviews and P11D compliance work
  • Experience dealing with PAYE Settlement Agreements and termination payment
  • Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to produce accurate and thorough work of a high standard
