We are currently recruiting for an Audit Senior this is a great opportunity to become part of a busy Audit Department and progress your accounting career.

The main duties involve the audit of clients’ accounts either on site or at clients’ premises and the preparation of clients’ accounts from books and records supplied to us. The Audit Department provides services to a wide and varied client base specialising in owner managed businesses. The client sectors are extensive and include manufacturing, distribution, retail, wholesale, property, FCA regulated entities, professional organisations, recruitment, charities, academies and pension schemes.


Responsibilities including:

  • Reporting to an audit manager and/or Partner and being responsible for the planning and execution of the audits for a wide range of client types and sizes;
  • Working within budget and ability to control shortfall;
  • Ensuring clients' expectations are managed accordingly
  • Supervising trainees and assisting in their development (including providing constructive appraisals);
  • Drafting and/or reviewing corporation tax computations;
  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP (particularly FRS102)


  • Recently qualified or experienced ACAs or ACCA
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Varied statutory audit and accounts preparation experienc
  • A strong and up-to-date knowledge of FRS 102 & IFRS and ISA
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills
  • A team approach to working and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Ability to delegate to and supervise junior
  • Ability to work under pressure to a high standard
  • Good IT skills and receptive to technology changes
