Finance & Payroll Assistant

Robert Half are working exclusively with a charity based in Central Bristol to recruit a Finance & Payroll Assistant. This role is perfect for someone with a background in payroll or looking to develop in this area as there will be training provided. This is most suited to someone who is passionate about working for a charity! Full-time permanent role, but part-time 30hrs minimum will be considered.

The Role

This role is one of three finance assistants and reports into the Financial Accountant. Together this team ensures that all financial records, controls and procedures for the charity are effective, accurate and efficiently maintained and that great customer service is provided to the organisation.

Key Duties:
  • Processing the monthly payroll for approximately 250 staff both permanent and temporary.
  • Calculation of pay.
  • Processing payroll journals.
  • Submitting pension contributions and HMRC submissions.
  • Checking and reconciling certain balance sheet accounts and expenses.
  • Cover for the other financial assistants.

Your Profile
  • Proficient in excel
  • Previous experience in a finance department
  • Payroll experience is ideal
  • Passionate about the charity
