Finance Manager Supply Chain



In this position your main responsibility is to lead Finance Supply Chain to support all stakeholders for the Supply Chain Function within the business for EMEA. In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Finance for EMEA.

Your primary responsibilities are:

· Drive all strategic initiatives and projects related to Supply Chain as the Finance Lead· Define and implement financial KPIs for the Supply Chain function and build a start of the art tracking system· Be the Finance partner for the Head of Supply Chain and Senior Management · Provide guidance to the Supply Chain Business Unit to ensure achievement of the full financial plan and targets · Support the business unit by establishing profitability goals, support budgeting and strategic business decisions to achieve financial targets
  • Manage the Planning / Forecasting - assist business unit management to prepare annual Financial Plan, and quarterly Forecast updates as required by EMEA / US
  • Steer monthly and quarterly closing activities


· Drive continuous improvement and develop strategies to help the business unit to maximize financial performance· Be responsible for the management of 3PL partners across EMEA from a Finance point of view e.g. contract management· Understand all global Supply Chain processes and activities holistically and work closely with the US Finance and Supply Chain Teams · Communicate and present financial data and reports to the business unit and senior management· Manage ad hoc analysis reports and provide sound advice to support Supply Chain Management decision making· Lead and motivate a team · Manage the department budget

Complexity Levels and required skillset:
  • Understanding European strategies and plans
  • Excellent implementation skill (efficiency, timely, budget, quality)
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with European stakeholders and local teams
  • Participate in regional projects - understanding all different levels and aspects
  • Understanding Supply Chain and Logistics processes, with the ability to be flexible and creative in supporting the business whilst managing risk and control issues
  • Ability to motivate team and colleagues to take accountability and ownership in achieving challenging deadlines
  • Leadership experience of a team is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, dealing with frequent changes and last-minute requests
  • Maintain positive work relationship with Business Unit and Management
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to liaise with all levels across the business
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Independent and proactive in managing deadlines and quick decision taking in a quickly changing environment and manage pressure




Minimum requirements
  • Degree educated or equivalent in Finance or business-related discipline
  • Accountancy qualification in either ACCA or CIMA
  • Preferably +8 years of experience in a finance function and experience in a Supply Chain environment
  • Strong system skills (MS Access/Excel - manipulate complex/raw data)
  • Fluent English
  • Commercial understanding of a consumer goods company
  • Exposure to General Accounting and Statutory Accounts desirable but not essential
