Cottsway is a social business providing affordable homes in West Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.

Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.  We own 4,600 homes; have a turnover of around £32 million, and an asset base worth £330 million. Our purpose is “to serve those in need of housing for whom the market is not producing a solution, within a manageable, cost effective area”.

We are looking for a Financial Planning Manager to join our fast-paced Finance team.

As well as overseeing a small team, you will be responsible for all aspects of reporting within the Finance department. This includes the financial information relating to management accounts, performance and Treasury matters for the Association.

In this role you will be responsible for the coordination of the budget setting process, the production of the KPI’s, statutory accounts and monthly and quarterly management accounts packs. You will also support the Head of Finance and IT in the production of the annual business plan, ensuring it is up to date with the latest development proposals. This role is also required to monitor the Association’s Cash flow, loan portfolio, security and Treasury requirements, as well as have a broad understanding of investment appraisal concepts so that development proposals can be assessed against the business plan.

To be successful you will be fully qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification, such as ICAEW, CIPFA, CIMA, or ACCA. Although not essential, knowledge of the social housing sector would be beneficial. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise, have a flexible approach and work to tight deadlines.

Benefits include 25 days annual leave (rising to 28 days after 2 years’ service), discounted gym and swim membership, Private Medical Insurance (upon successful completion of probation period) and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

For an informal chat about the role please call Nikki Smith, Head of Finance and IT, on 01993 890087.
