Robert half finance and accounting are actively recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a well-established retail business in Salisbury. This is an interim role, working with a lovely family owned business that is growing.
With onsite parking the business is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join a well performing finance team. Due to growth this position has become available. The ideal candidate will be someone with a can do attitude.
- Assisting in preparing management accounts.
- Assisting in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Assisting in preparing VAT returns.
- Maintenance of cashbook entries.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Sales and purchasing invoicing.
- Accruals and prepayments.
- Posting journals.
- Responsibility for profit and loss.
- Liaising with third parties.
- Ad hoc duties.
The successful Assistant Accountant is likely to have had previous experience of working within a busy finance function. Advanced Excel is required and therefore you will be asked to complete a short Excel test. The ability to work solely and as part of a team is essential.
The role is based in the company's established offices in Salisbury. This company is a family owned retail business with a strong, respected brand.
