Mid Tier Legal firm seek a Financial Controller to join them in their Ruislip office. Reporting to the FD and managing a team your key responsibility is to support the FD in directing and controlling the financial management of the practice including strategy; to ensure compliance with the solicitors’ accounts rules and budgetary limits.
Key tasks of the Financial Controller include preparation of all management and financial accounts for local management including performance management analysis. You will also have responsibility for all general ledger accounting & controls (ensuring SRA Accounts Rules are adhered to) and that all balance sheet reconciliations have been performed and that all statutory returns have been filed including VAT and PAYE. You will also work closely with the FD and Group Heads to build annual budgets and 3 year strategic plans.
The ideal FC will be a qualified accountant, with previous experience in a legal environment, possess strong compliance skills ideally around SRA Accounts Rules and in return you will receive a salary of between £65k-£80k + benefits
