An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic finance professional to join our Corporate Finance Team as a Senior Accountant. Reporting directly to the Head Accountant, the successful candidate will lead a small well-established team in providing a financial management service to budget holders, senior managers and elected members. The role is pivotal in ensuring systems and operations are in place for accurate financial reporting, forecasting, budget planning and modelling. The post holder will support a diverse range of corporate service functions ranging from IT commissioning and project support, admin support, facilities management, and building maintenance, to PFI schools and the county farms estate.
The role is suited to an effective communicator with first class interpersonal skills who is confident in dealing with senior management. Excellent IT and analytical skills with a sound understanding of accounting principles is essential, as is the ability to organise and prioritise often conflicting workloads to achieve deadlines accurately and on time.
