The role of Assistant Management Accountant:-

Robert Half is partnering a global business in the Real Estate sector in order to recruit for an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team. The role will sit directly under 2 Management Accountants and will work closely alongside both the Management Accountants and the Finance Manager to support the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and allocate all charges received through Internal Recharges. Be proactive in dealing with issues which require investigation on the Internal Recharges, these could be items for other business units, duplicates charges, name updates, cease requests etc. Creating and maintaining a concise record of all current issues as well as previously resolved issues which can be utilised to improve efficiency of issue resolution moving forward
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolve any issues noted
  • Reconcile the project ledger and general ledger at month end
  • Performing finance department roll forward procedures for Cost Value Reports (CVR's) which are then made available to commercial staff as well as completing finance department owned CVR's
  • Tracking completion of timesheets by staff, resolving any queries and issuing summary of outstanding timesheets. Ensuring that the relevant updates and entries required for starters and leavers in relation to timesheets are completed
  • Raising inter-company invoices and processing inter-company invoices received
  • Posting General Ledger and Project Ledger journals as requested
  • Correcting any mis-coding noted within the expense codes in the trial balance
  • Other finance department tasks as required.


Experience and Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft office applications
  • Prior experience within a finance department and use of accounting software
  • Excellent time management
  • Great communication skills
  • Positive attitude and outlook
  • Resilient and motivated
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Takes ownership and sees task to completion
