The Company

My client is a transport/logistics business based in the Leeds area. My client is looking for a Finance Manager to join the team and specialise in the Month End process. The business is in a position to attack their target market quite aggressively and see their site T/O grow from £75M to £140M within the next 5 years.

The Role

This role will see the post holder contribute to the production of the management accounts for each of the divisions on a monthly basis. This role will also involve the successful candidate producing MI analysis for use by the board of directors. This will include but not be limited to margins, costs, cost centre breakdowns, productivity, overheads as well as eventually becoming involved with tender support for future business. The successful candidate will also have to work closely with the financial accounting team helping with VAT, TAX and stat reporting when required

In order to be considered for this role you must:
  • Be CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified or QBE with industry knowledge
  • Have proven experience of producing the monthly management accounts and financial accounting
  • Have a strong commercial awareness and an interest to develop this further
  • Have good IT skills including Excel
  • Be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate financial information to non finance management
