Robert Half Finance and Accounting are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a thriving retail business on a permanent basis, based in Bridgend.

The Role

  • Overall management of the invoicing process for specific departments

  • Matching invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes

  • Liaise with commercial team on invoice pricing discrepancies

  • Liaise with stores on invoice booking in discrepancies

  • Posting invoices to the ledger (Navision)

  • Weekly BAC's payments

  • Issuing remittance advices

  • Dealing with supplier queries

  • Audit of monthly GRNI summary and ensuring any GRN's not payable are reviewed and adjusted

  • Monthly statement reconciliations

  • Preparation of month end accruals

  • Assisting other team members and assist with holiday cover

  • General office duties as and when required

Your Profile

  • High volume purchase ledger experience

  • Graduate or AAT

  • Self-motivated and confident with the ability to work on own initiative but also works well within a team

  • An ability to work methodically and accurately with a keen attention to detail

  • Well organised and the ability to work to tight month end and other deadlines

  • Eager to learn, who has a can-do attitude and not afraid to get stuck in

  • Excel and Outlook experience

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary of £15,500 - £17,000 depending on experience
