Robert Half Finance and Accounting are working alongside a leading European manufacturing business based in Hemel Hempstead to recruit a Permanent German Speaking Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the Director of European Accounting, it's key focus is to process entries through the General Ledger and assist the company accountants.
This is a busy role and will suit an individual who is used to working in busy environments with a broad range of tasks. Whilst a varied position, the key responsibilities will include;
- Preparation and entry of journals as required
- Maintain journal logs and journal files
- Daily cash book prep and reconciliations to GL
- Inventory and Purchasing reconciliations to GL
- VAT and Intrastat returns
- Support AP and AR functions
- Preparing month end balance sheet reconciliations
The successful candidate is likely to have had 2 years in a similar Assistant Accountant position, have excellent communication skills in both English and German, have strong excel skills. excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Salary & Benefits
