A leading retailer is currently seeking a committed Treasury Manager to fulfill an exciting temporary contract, which is expected to last between 3 and 6 months.  Immediate start.

Duties include:

Ensure adequate banking facilities in place to meet current and longer term business objectives, and that corporate treasury policies and practices are adhered to, and regulatory requirements are met

Maintaining and developing a team of cover dealers to perform dealing on a day-to-day basis.

Foreign currency hedging analysis and execution. Monitoring market movements in foreign exchange rates, interest rates and counterparty risk ratings. Highlighting risks or opportunities and recommending action to mitigate Group risk within the framework of the Treasury Policy, Risk Register and department policies and procedures.

Ownership of the Group’s short and medium-term cash flow and net debt forecasting process, including ongoing development of forecasting accuracy from around the business.

Ensuring covenant compliance with debt facility restrictions and highlighting risks.

Monitoring and forecasting interest P&L costs of circa £15 million against Group debt facilities totalling circa £500 million. Highlighting risks and opportunities to limit P&L impact.

Production of regular treasury reporting to the CFO and audit committee.

Working closely with the wider Finance team on half- and full-year Treasury audit requirements, ensuring accuracy of disclosures in the group’s annual financial and statutory accounts. Providing analysis and support to internal and external auditors.

Identifying and delivery of working capital opportunities throughout the business

Managing the various financial risks that the company is exposed to is of paramount importance in this role. This role gives you the opportunity to assess, recommend and follow through with risk mitigation techniques to ensure the company's long-term survival. The job will involve making decisions (or acting on others’ decisions) around:

  • Bank debt funding
  • Foreign currency purchasing
  • Interest rate hedging
  • Net debt
  • Interest P&L costs

The successful candidate will be an experienced Treasury Manager.  Retail experience, although beneficial is not essential.
