Services-UK is a sub-set of the newly created business segment of RPS, Services UK & NL. The Services-UK business comprises of long-established operating divisions that provide water & wastewater services and health & laboratory services. With annualised fees of £75 million and 1,300 staff, this is a diverse and dynamic business.
Reporting to the Finance Director – Services UK & NL, the Divisional Finance Director will oversee the financial aspects of the business’s operations and lead the divisional finance team (8 staff) in the delivery of high-quality information in a timely fashion. You will ensure the Services-UK leadership team is supplied with financial information to enable it to understand fully its historic and current trading, its prospects and cash flow and provide a business partnering service, including pricing commercial tenders. You will maintain effective financial controls, including compliance with local tax laws and prepare statutory accounts.
The Divisional Finance Director will ensure adherence to Group reporting requirements, keep the UK leadership team advised of all material financial risks and contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system within Services as part of a global programme of business systems improvement.
The successful candidate will be qualified with broad accounting skills across management reporting and analysis, preparation of statutory accounts, cash flow analysis and forecasting. You will possess strong commercial awareness and a desire to partner with operational management. Good analysis and problem-solving skills are essential as well as the capability of leading established finance teams. Any experience of large-scale financial systems change would be highly beneficial.
