Could you be our new Deputy Principal?
Absolutely. If you’re a motivated and personable qualified accountant ready to lead our strategic Financial/Audit direction and the operational management of our Finance, Estates, IT and MIS departments come and assist us to grow in partnership with our wider community.
Swindon College is a small to medium sized Further Education College with ESFA financial health rated as “Good”. We have experienced considerable change in the last few years as our 16-18 student numbers have fallen but full time applications are now significantly up. Our recent Ofsted journey was disappointing (to “requires improvement with some good aspects”) but also re-energising and whilst we have improvements to make, we do that knowing our Adult and Apprenticeship provision is strong. We also have a well progressed Institute of Technology bid which has the potential to herald a new era of strong collaborative working within our region. This makes it an incredibly exciting time to join us and your experience in running capital build projects will be invaluable.
Swindon College prides itself in being a widening participation college that has re-designed its curriculum to expect (and deliver) more for its students. Our approach puts the interests of our students first and we embrace the greater emphasis on encouraging a growth mindset and supporting our students to overcome obstacles to springboard personal and career success.
