Financial Accounting role based in the heart of Birmingham with an opportunity to report into a senior member of their Finance team. The role will support with reporting, treasury, audit and tax functions.
A fast growing Financial Services organisation based in Birmingham City Centre are looking for a Financial Accountant to join them.
This role will give you an opportunity to work closely with investment management professionals globally with exposure to Private Equity Fund Administration across various clients, group structures and investment strategies.
Maintain accounting records and ensure accuracy and completeness of data and skills
Prepare timely and accurate year-end support files for annual audits as required
Prepare and review draft annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and US GAAP
This role will primarily support accounting, reporting, treasury, audit and tax functions of allocated private equity fund of funds (primary and secondary), direct investment funds, clean energy funds, structured products, private credit funds and Luxembourg investment vehicles.
Responsible for carrying out all aspects of accounting for clients including ad hoc queries.
Carry out planning of annual audits and liaise with clients to establish timetable for the receipt of valuations and advisers reports and other relevant information.
Liaise with auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate putting together financial statements, looking for an innovative and exciting new challenge in the Birmingham area.
If someone is from an Audit or practice background and looking to develop gold standard accounting within industry to get into more general commercial accounts, this could be advantageous.
The sucessful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified, financial services knowledge or audit experience from practice either newly qualified or with some industry experience.
