Robert half finance and accounting recruiting for a temporary Payroll Assistant to support a grounded and well-established leisure business in Southampton. The role is being offered as an ongoing temporary assignment.
With onsite parking the business is looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join a high performing finance team. The ideal candidate will be someone with a can do attitude. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you would have responsibility for processing a large monthly payroll for up to 350 employees
- Processing a large monthly payroll for up to 350 employees
- Processing expenses and timesheets,
- Preparing statutory returns, ensuring tax and third-party payments are paid on a timely basis, monitoring sickness and calculating sick pay, SSP and unpaid sickness, assisting the finance team with payroll information for journals and budgets as required, dealing with payroll queries and assisting auditors with compliance checks and audits.
- Basic Payroll calculations
- Reset of users passwords
- Copy payslips
The successful Payroll Assistant is likely to have had previous experience of working within a busy finance function, dealing with multiple sites and employees. Good Excel is required and therefore you will be asked to complete a short Excel test.
The role is based in the company's established offices in Southampton. This company is a market leading leisure business with a strong, respected brand.
