This role sits within a growing finance team of a business expanding in size at about 40% YOY. This business considers themselves as holding an equal split of technology and trading focus, featuring cultural elements common to both techhy startups and multinational conglomerates.

The role of the In-House Tax Accountant or Tax Manager

Given the nature of the organisation, responsibilities are shared on an ad-hoc basis between the acting Head of Tax and Tax Manager and specialist, giving the successful applicant real opportunity to diversify their skillset and taxation experience. Some areas the In-House Tax specialist will work in close-knit with the Global Tax team on:
  • Assisting the VAT and corporate tax operations on a UK and international scale
  • Partnering with transactional finance for ad-hoc query support
  • Support compliance procedures, including some stamp duty
  • Operational support with ad-hoc CRS/FATCA onboarding
  • Multi-jurisdictional analysis of tax developments to foresee business impacts

What you will need to succeed:
  • Demonstrable experience across either corporate, indirect or operational taxes ideally, from a financial services background
  • Intellectual thirst to develop your skillset and learn a variety of tax processes in a complex and fast-moving environment
  • The ability to identify inefficiencies and work towards reviewing and resolving process improvement areas
  • Ideally, CTA/ATT qualified
