Key Responsibilities

Accounting and Reporting
  • Accurate and timely monthly management accounting, including detailed variance analysis between actuals and budgeted/forecasted figures
  • Ensure the delivery of appropriate financial information and support to the business through the production of meaningful reporting which is used to help manage the business and identify risks and opportunities
  • Provide higher level accounting input as required for production of monthly and quarterly financial reports including KPI's, statistics and trend analysis
  • Develop and implement further reporting and systems improvements
  • Ensure accounts comply with appropriate accounting standards

General Business Support
  • Develop strong relationships with key contacts across the business
  • Participate and add financial and commercial insight to business meetings at local level
  • Coordinate and deploy appropriate resources from Finance into the business.
  • Conduit for all feedback on Finance - the Finance Manager should be able to understand the problems faced by the business and shape solutions
  • Assist in establishing KPIs for the business
  • Be a good educator and communicator to help management understand finance and how it can help them

Analysis and Business Planning
  • Develop business plans for new business ideas with consideration of various scenarios and risk assessment. This should use best of breed investment appraisal methodologies including NPV, DCF
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve business performance
  • Manage the forecasting and annual budgeting process. Both challenge and support for Heads of Department in formulating their plans
  • Prepare the 5-year plan with knowledge of Corporate strategy and industry trends
  • Involvement in due diligence where relevant
  • Provide financial support on relevant projects
