Robert Half is working exclusively with this established growing company, part of an International Group, that now wishes to identify a high-calibre Financial Controller.

The Role: Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will be the No 1 Finance person for the UK business, and will work closely with the Managing Director to ensure that the ongoing growth of the company is profitable. The role is a combination of delivering financial strategy, providing sound financial and commercial advice as well as very 'hands on' accounting. Key financial duties will include the preparation of monthly management information for UK management team and the European parent company, annual statutory accounts, budgets and forecasts, cash-flow and treasury, management of the financial ledgers, petty cash and expenses. You will manage relationships with the auditors, HMRC and the pension providers. You will also be the primary contact with the European parent company on all financial and IT matters.

Candidate Profile:

The company seeks an exceptional individual for this most important role. The successful person will be a qualified Accountant with good IT skills (SAP and Excel). You will enthusiastically be 'hands-on' in the financial details and simultaneously see the big picture. Most importantly, you will demonstrate the confidence to handle a stand-alone, No1 finance role in a growing company. You should offer a broad financial background that includes monthly and annual accounting, cash-flow, profit-management and budgeting. You will have a reliable and flexible nature. The role will appeal to an individual keen to make a long-term contribution to a growing company, and who can be a credible, trustworthy, decisive business partner to the Managing Director and be a key member of the UK Senior Management Team.

The company operates its UK business from impressive, modern premises in Warwickshire, and is easily accessible from the M40. The UK company is part of a successful, highly-regarded, privately-owned, high-quality, innovative, European manufacturing Group which employs c 3000 dedicated staff of which 500 are employed in 33 subsidiaries worldwide. The working environment is first-class, with many employees having worked for the business for over a decade. The UK company provides a sales, repair & maintenance and spares offering to its UK and Irish customers.

The Budget:

Base salary is between £55,000 & £65,000
