Robert Half are recruiting for an international development company based in central London. The client is looking to recruit a part-qualified accountant looking to join a dynamic and forward thinking team.
The Practice Accountant is responsible for ensuring that Project financial are accurately planned and reported. This will involve developing initial costings; accounting for live projects; producing full life cost and revenue forecasts; and working closely with Project teams to ensure robust project financial trackers are in place and being regularly reviewed. The Practice Accountant will need to build up a business partnering relationship with the Practice Lead as their primary 'go to' for finance matters.
Minimum degree level 2.1
Studying towards ACCA / CIMA/ ACA desirable
Experience in a project accounting position with specific focus on financial accounting, reporting, controls and management systems and processes
Must be able to demonstrate experience of pro-active business partnering and driving improvement within the business
Experience and understanding of modern technical accounting procedures and standards (including IFRS)
Experience in the management, preparation and execution of a range of financial reports
Experience with systems such as Oracle or Hyperion would be beneficial
Sound computer literacy including Excel, accounting software and reporting packages
