Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an established Utilities business who are seeking an experienced candidate to join them on a permanent basis due to a member of staff retiring. My client is based in Warminster and is offering a very competitive package for the right person:

About our client:

Robert Half are working with a small Utilities business based in Warminster who are currently seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team. The role will be reporting into the Finance Manager and will be perfect for someone who wants to take ownership of their next role as you will be solely responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of high volumes of transactions.

Core Responsibilities:
  • The role will include all aspects of purchase ledger: raising purchase orders, registering scanning and filing invoices, liaising with suppliers in response to account queries, setting up supplier payment runs and monthly reconciliation of the aged creditors report
  • Responsibility of processing cash expense claims, credit card expenses
  • Other ad hoc tasks such as account reconciliations
  • There may be opportunity of exposure to the management accounts process, intercompany recharges, financial and statutory duties, depending on progress and development

Person specification:
  • Experience of working within a purchase ledger department
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced environment with high volumes of workload
  • Confident on Excel
  • Experience of working in a standalone role would be preferred
