Tax Advisor (Investigations)
Priding itself on its principles of integrity, innovation and commitment, this tax investigations boutique is looking to expand its tax team to service its current client base and to build for the expansion of its business over the next three years.
Currently focused on those that were caught in mass-marketed "avoidance" products, they are the leader in the market and are regularly sought after to provide commentary in the press and trade publications.
Reporting to the Head of Tax, you will be a self-starter who will be able to get up to speed quickly with the technical aspects of the role. You will be client facing, able to converse comfortably on the phone and in person with existing and potential clients. An ability to research legislation and HMRC materials in order to provide advice and with a keen interest in reading, understanding and developing legislative principles is required. You will also be required to correspond with HMRC on behalf of clients and attend meetings with them supported by senior members of the tax team. A strong background in employment taxes would be an advantage as would knowledge of IR35, investigations or tax litigation.
The ideal candidate will have previous tax experience in a client facing role as well as be qualified or part qualified in a relevant field.
You will be given full training to allow you to reach your potential and supported by the Head of Tax and Director of Tax who are both very experienced and keen to develop the right candidate.
