Our services client in Northampton are looking for an interim Finance Manager to cover someone leaving on Maternity for 12 months. The role is very hands on and will be paying a daily rate up to £200.
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company
  • Oversee finance assistants (including regular 1-2-1s), support with tasks when required
  • Bank reconciliation (including cash flow)
  • Producing month end accounts in a timely and accurate manner
  • Providing commentary on monthly performance for a board meeting
  • Responsibility for all client invoicing (overseeing sales ledger finance assistant)
  • Completion of quarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting with statutory accounts preparations
  • Assisting with budgeting
  • Maintaining Fixed Asset register & start up costs schedule - including monthly depreciation, additions, disposals and yearly asset verification
  • Assisting with any ad hoc analysis
  • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
  • Maintain financial policies and procedures of the company
