Job Responsibility:

Provide monthly management accounts and quarterly grant reports and report and analyse any variances and deviations from budget and forecast.

Report on KPIs to include monitoring overall revenue recognition, margins, expenses, operational efficiencies, inventory levels and profitability trends.

Business analysis - provide key business support to Business Unit decision-making with value-add contributions into business and financial reviews to help improve Business Unit performance.

Responsibility for annual Budgets, 5-year forecasts and rolling Forecasts.

Preparation and drafting of VAT reports, annual Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax submissions.

Meeting deadlines by managing processes and influencing people to allow timely monthly reporting.

Ensure consistent, accurate and complete sets of financial information.

Inventory and work in progress management.

Responsibility for recruiting and growing the finance team.

In conjunction with the CEO, assess the long-term financial trends and review opportunities for future growth of income, revenue from new product areas and investment needs. 

Essential skills and experience:

Qualified Accountant (ACMA, ACA, ACCA).

Project accounting and Business Unit reporting.

Experience of working in a Blue-Chip organisation(s) and SME’s.

Inventory and Work-in-Progress management.

Sage, Xero and Excel experience.

Experience of preparing for and undergoing financial due diligence by Third Parties.

Ability to work on own initiative.

Willingness to challenge and improve existing systems and processes.
