Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently partnering on a retained basis with a Leicestershire based specialist manufacturing business with their search for a Financial Controller to join them in a newly created role. The role is based at the businesses impressive head office which is commutable from all areas of Leicester, Nottingham, Coventry / Warwickshire and Derby.
Working as part of the senior management team and working closely with the Finance Director, The Financial Controller will take ownership of all aspects of the management and financial accounts including year-end and statutory reporting. They are keen to hire a commercial personality who has extensive experience of the manufacturing industry. You will be detail orientated and will help the business to make great decision using well informed data, this also may include costing / production and also exposure to being involved in the tendering for new business.
The role is much broader than your typical Financial Controllers role due to the level of commercial exposure. The role is also has a small team reporting into it.
The business is well established in its market and has a full order book, including several contracts that are in excess of 5 years in length. They are a truly employee focused and reward each and every member of staff. The management team is impressive, they support the business well and challenge / hold each other to account to always learn and improve.
In the future the role may develop into becoming the Finance Director, they are looking to hire a candidate who has the ambition to want to progress into this role in future and is prepared to work hard and add value to the business.
To be considered for the role you must be looking for a long term role with a business and want to be rewarded for your hard work. You will be qualified in either CIMA, ACCA or ACA and have previous experience of working within the manufacturing industry. You will be commercial, detailed orientated and focused in your nature and feel comfortable working at shop floor level as you would working with the board of the business.

The role has a salary range of between £65,000 and £80,000 plus a car allowance, bonus (circa 10%), a generous pension and private health insurance.
