Description

Senior Financial Accountant Tax

You will be responsible for:

Minimising the taxation exposure of the company wherever possible. Ensure that all of the necessary tax returns are made so that the company complies with its legal responsibilities in respect of all taxes. To provide assistance as necessary to HR department in respect of employment taxation.

To support the business in its understanding and compliance with SOX, providing training where appropriate.

Key responsible:
  • Act as UK company specialist
  • Monitor the plans of the company so that the tax implications of strategies or projects are understood prior to implementation working closely with Regional and Corporate colleagues
  • Act as a business partner and provide tax support and guidance to any other department.
  • Manage relationship with third-party provider of global mobility tax services.
  • Liaise with and manage other external consultants.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all of its legal obligations for filing returns for Corporation Tax and Employment Tax (non -payroll and expatriates).
  • Prepare annual Senior Accounting Officer certificate and associated background
  • Deal with any incoming correspondence from HMRC and manage audits to minimise any additional liability to the company.
  • Ensure compliance with EMEA Transfer Pricing Report.
  • Maintain necessary knowledge of current legal and company policy requirements regarding tax in the UK
  • Assist Regional tax department with upcoming reporting requirements
  • Assist the EMEA VAT team on all UK related VAT queries.
  • Work with the business to ensure all staff are fully trained and aware of their responsibilities under SOX.
  • Update the RACM on a regular basis, working with senior management to ensure controls remain relevant at all times


Profile

You should have a proven track record in corporate tax coupled with a professional qualification.
