Order Administrator (Full time, Permanent)

The Opportunity

I am please to be working with a global leading developer and supplier of world-class analytical instrumentation, software and reagents.

Due to continued rapid growth, they are looking to further expand their order processing and administration function at their Welwyn Garden City European support hub. Reporting to the office administrator lead, this new role will be responsible for processing sales orders, invoices and expenses through their CRM (Sales Force), ERP/Finance (Microsoft Great Plain) and expense management (Concur) systems. As part of a small team you will be critical to the commercial operation and ongoing success of the company.

The Role;
  • monitor sales inbox for incoming orders. Process to create customer order confirmations, dispatch notes & commercial invoices
  • liaise with sales personnel, customers and the logistics group to resolve PO & quote queries, to arrange shipments, returns, debit & credit notes as required
  • process & audit staff expense claims, including VAT classification and credit card statement reconciliation
  • general administrative support e.g. outgoing POs, office supplies, e-files, shipping etc.
  • close interaction with admin, sales, service & R&D teams


You are
  • above all else, eager to contribute, with strong interpersonal skills & an excellent team player
  • naturally communicative and organised
  • IT competent & confident in basic MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills
  • experienced with order management processes (preferred but not essential)
  • able to work with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • highly diligent & reliable
  • able to work alone and with others


Salary & benefits;
  • £18,000 - £22,000 dependent on experience
