Due to continued growth and expansion, our client, a well-established, multi-office accountancy practice, is looking to recruit a qualified Accountant/Manager for its office in Banbury.

The successful candidate will provide a professional accountancy service to fee paying clients.  The role will involve accounts, tax work and some auditing for a client base including limited companies and sole traders. You will also support managers in the running of their portfolios.

As Accountant/Manager, you will:

  • Liaise with clients and provide financial information and advice
  • Produce year-end accounts
  • Complete self-assessments and corporate tax returns
  • Maintain records and prepare accounts and management information for small businesses
  • Support managers and directors
  • Support and mentor trainees and junior members of staff
  • Review junior's work to identify relevant points for the director to raise at client meetings

To be considered for this role, you will be:

  • ACCA / ACA qualified or equivalent with at least 2 years post qualification experience, or at least 5 years QBE
  • Able to demonstrate financial management experience
  • Legislatively compliant – ability to interpret and relevant legislation to clients
  • Experienced in working with clients in a busy accountancy practice
  • Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of accounting systems - Sage, QuickBooks, Xero and ideally CCH
