Haslers are a firm of Chartered Accountants, Tax and Business Advisers based in Loughton, East London. Currently, there are 10 partners and over 90 staff across the business. The firm have been established for over eighty years and work with clients based across London and the Home Counties. Haslers have a great mix of clients including SME businesses, groups of companies, partnerships, limited companies, charities and High Net Worth individuals. 

Due to significant growth, the firm are looking to appoint a qualified Chartered / Certified Accountant ACA/ACCA, who has proven solid knowledge of completing accounting assignments within a general practice environment. As Accounts Senior you will report directly to the Partner or Manager as required and be responsible for: 

  • Producing accounts for clients (Limited companies, sold traders, partnerships, LLLPs, Charities and groups)
  • Be the key “face of Haslers” for the client and ensure first class client service provided at all times
  • Ensuring that jobs are completed on time and within budget.
  • Managing the team to ensure they produce high quality work, are motivated to achieve high standards and that end of job appraisals are carried out for the team.
  • Presenting the Accounts/Audit Manager with a complete set of accounts with minimal queries
  • Accounts package drafted (disclosures/letters/minutes/certificates etc)
  • Detailed costing of time budget
  • To clear review points and put through adjustments to the accounts.
  • To keep time records up to date on a day-to-day basis and complete timesheets on CCH
  • To liaise with Tax Department and deal with any queries raised.
  • Keep technically up to date
  • To be aware of developments concerning client affairs and to identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
  • Cross sell other Haslers’ services to clients to contribute to incremental fee income for the Firm.
  • Any other task as reasonably required to ensure the smooth running of the job and the department

Candidates must be client focused and possess exceptional advisory skills with a forward thinking mind-set. You must have good teamwork skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team but also effectively lead from the front when out on assignment. Due to the nature of the role applicants must also own their own car as you will be required to travel to clients premises to carry out work.
