A leading national disability charity is looking for a dynamic and innovative Finance Director to help us change lives. Whether you're a senior Finance or Accountancy professional in the commercial sector who wants a new challenge, or a third sector specialist looking for your next step - we'd be delighted to hear from you.
The Disabilities Trust is a leader in its field, providing innovative care, rehabilitation and support for people with complex physical impairments, acquired brain injury and learning disabilities, as well as children and adults with autism. People are at the heart of everything we do and through our independent hospitals, residential centres, and the provision of specialist support at home, we aim to make a lasting difference. Every individual receives bespoke support so we can help them gain as much independence as possible and live life to the fullest.
The Disabilities Trust is now seeking an exceptional individual to play a crucial role in the future leadership and direction of this forward-thinking charity. Building on the strong success and recent rapid growth of The Disabilities Trust, not only will the successful candidate handle the challenging issues of finance within a large, national organisation, they will also be a key player in the Senior Management Team. Accountable to the Board of Trustees and reporting to, and deputising for the Chief Executive, they will help set the strategic direction for a growing organisation, making a real difference to people across the UK.
The right candidate for the post will bring a demonstrable track record of senior management and of delivering change in a complex environment, along with the requisite financial and commercial acumen, and an innovative and strategic approach in order to harness opportunities for further impact and success.
In addition, experience of developing, delivering and monitoring financial strategy as well as influencing a wide range of senior stakeholders is essential. Strong ICT and knowledge of acquisitions and capital projects would be highly desirable.
As a qualified accountant, they will have experience of operational financial delivery within large, national organisations. Alongside this, they will have a real commitment to, and passion for the aims and values of the Disabilities Trust.
