School Finance Manager

Hurtwood House is one of the UK’s most successful and vibrant boarding schools.  Situated on a beautiful campus in the Surrey Hills, we specialise exclusively in the Sixth Form and are highly regarded for our creativity, our academic rigour and our outstanding examination results.

Following a review of the current Bursarial arrangements, we are looking for a Finance Manager to work closely with the senior management team and the Administrative Bursar in managing the various financial responsibilities of the School. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the School’s accounts, payroll and other financial matters.

We are looking for a Finance Manager with experience, strong interpersonal skills and awareness of current fiscal legislative and regulatory frameworks, especially in an educational setting. This is a position which would suit an individual with initiative, ambition and attention to detail.

Salary range: £30,000 - £35,000 pa (depending on experience)

Start date: 1st September 2018.
