The Temporary Division of Robert Half International is looking to recruit a Treasury & Regulatory Reporting Accountant for our Banking client in Hertfordshire. The position could become permanent after a few months .

The Role

The position of Treasury & Regulatory Reporting Accountant will require the following;
  • Maintain financial policies, controls, systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements;
  • Monitor & report liquidity, capital, and interest rate management within the banks risk appetite, and report the respective risks.

Regulatory requirements
  • Carry out comprehensive and timely reporting to PRA / FCA / Bank of England and maintenance of historic reporting;
  • Ensure that financial policies and control procedures are adhered to, to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Check that the Regulatory Reporting system is reconciled to the Core Banking system, General Ledger, Treasury & ALM system.
  • Support the main point of contact (Treasury & Regulatory Reporting Manager) with the Regulator for routine and regular submissions, including regulator queries.
  • Monitor regulatory change and new reporting requirements.

Treasury requirements
  • Produce the daily cash-flow forecasting and monitor ensuring compliance with limits and risk appetite
  • Check that sufficient cash is held in the Banks settlement account(s) to cover forecasted daily (and intra-day) cash outflows and to cover unexpected/stressed cash outflows and notify.
  • Monitor the investment of surplus funds in approved treasury instruments and providing funding at the time required.
  • Produce reports for ALCO & any Treasury returns required by the Bank's regulators and/or for statutory purposes.

Business Strategy/Planning
  • Prepare the Treasury Assets / Liquidity annual budget and produce forecasts and variances against budget to assist decision making
  • Prepare the core ILAAP / ICAAP schedules
  • Produce required insights and analysis of pricing decisions on the bank portfolio, and strategic implications. This includes stress testing and recovery and resolution planning.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree standard and possessing recognised professional accountancy qualification with 2-3 years post qualifying experience. A background in Treasury and Regulatory Reporting and an excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel is required. This position will begin on a temporary basis for 2-3 months, but could become permanent for the right candidate .

Salary & Benefits

The position of Treasury & Regulatory Reporting Accountant is paying between £225-250 per day on a limited / umbrella basis. There is free parking available on-site.
