Quality Assurance Manager - Audit
Robert Half are hiring for a Quality Assurance Manager for an instantly-recognizable membership body for accountants. This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a great work-life balance.
Sitting as part of the Practice Assurance team, the Quality Assurance Manager will fulfil a varied role containing both audit work and consultancy work for a varied portfolio of practices that are registered with the membership body, ranging from small independent practices to large multinational firms such as the Big 4.
The QA Manager will meet with these practices and will have two main responsibilities:
1) To conduct audits of the work the accredited, individual members are carrying out in order to assess and report on the quality of the work, if necessary to provide advice on how the member can improve, and to identify significant short-comings.
2) Provide advice and a consulting service to the practices on how they can improve their operations and management; for example on how to identify and mitigate risk, what is best practice and how to implement this, changes in regulations, data protection guidance etc.
The role is home based in that you are required at the company's offices very infrequently. Instead you will be visiting practices in your region, conducting reviews on statutory audit and practice assurance and providing advice to managers
As such the portfolio of clients assigned to you will be within commuting distance of your residence, and they will endeavour to assign the closest practices to you wherever possible.
The company is looking to hire a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ICAS) with experience in practice in audit, gained up to a managerial level. The successful applicant will also be a strong and diplomatic communicator, capable of building relationships with the practices and representing the brand of the business effectively.

Salary & Benefits
Salary is up to £72,000 + benefits package.
