Robert Half seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the accounting team of a Radstock based Manufacturing Company. The financial accountant role is responsible for a broad range of duties primarily statutory compliance, management reporting, maintenance of a strong internal control environment and business support.

  • Maintaining, interpreting and reporting of timely and accurate financial data
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly US GAAP management accounts including meaningful variance analysis
  • Preparation and analysis of variances to budget/forecast; commentary on business drivers
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations and resolution of action items
  • Balance Sheet variance commentary and analysis
  • Supporting the annual statutory audit and financial statement preparation process under IFRS
  • Supporting the risk management process through compliance with including documentation and testing of controls and the maintenance of a strong internal control environment
  • Assisting with the review of cross border transactions, ensuring compliance with Transfer Pricing procedures
  • Preparation and filing of quarterly VAT and GST returns
  • Review of complex calculations and items requiring judgment when prepared by more junior team members
  • Developing and applying knowledge to provide value-added analysis and support to other areas of the business
  • Work closely with the ERP team on any changes to the accounting system as well as rollout to additional locations
  • Fixed Assets Ledger maintenance, including review of system depreciation calculations, impairment testing, disposals and reporting
  • Implementation of best practices within the department
  • Other duties as requested by the Finance Manager/Finance Director including cover during periods of high-workloads and absences.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:-
  • Professional Qualification (ACA /ACCA from an audit background preferred)
  • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
  • Experience with multi-currency reporting
  • Credibility to liaise with senior management
  • Methodical, diligent, accurate and accountable
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive improvement through change
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task and deliver high quality work to deadlines

Salary & Benefits
