Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a manufacturing business based in in Welwyn Garden City.


In in the position of Finance Business Partner Welwyn Garden City you will provide financial support to business leaders to support business growth reporting directly to the Head of Finance. Other key duties to include:
  • Analysis of monthly manufacturing variances and collaboration with Operations for production of robust supporting commentary
  • Analysis of actual performance against target for all P&L's
  • Support Sales with pricing and development of customer profitability analysis
  • Develop tool to appraise business cases, calculating (1) payback period on CapEx projects, and (2) IRR on investment proposals
  • Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams
  • Input into production of monthly MI for various group entities, including P&L, Balance Sheet and KPI's
  • Maintaining standard costs, investigating and reporting variances
  • Analyse and investigation of variances to STD with labour efficiency
  • Reconciliation of Raw Materials, Finished Goods and WIP
  • Tender and bid support, as required, from the Sales function
  • Partnering of the Sales function with credit applications and credit limit reviews
  • Support to Operations with stock control and stock-takes in UK
  • Partnering of Operations, ensuring no supply chain disruptions
  • Support with system improvements for the Quality and Operations functions to better track and reduce manufacturing waste
  • Support Head of Group Reporting during the budgeting process
  • Support Head of Group Reporting on annual statutory and other Company Secretarial matters
  • Recommendations to strengthen financial controls and procedures
  • SAP system mapping to Operational processes with recommended improvements to SAP ERP
  • Work with the business to identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Collaboration with department heads on financial matters as required


The successful candidate will need to be a qualified accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA or Qualified by experience

Strong business partnering skills

Ability to identify and drive performance

Ideally previous manufacturing experience

Salary & Benefits

£50,000 - £58,000 basic plus benefits
