Would you like to be an integral part of the Naval Ships Finance Management team? We currently have a vacancy for a Finance Manager at our site in Scotstoun.

 

As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing a robust framework which will deliver strong financial Governance, Processes and Controls. This will include co-ordination of the Governance, Control and Compliance activities within Naval Ships Finance teams.

 

As part of the role the individual will support continuous improvement initiatives across the function. The role will be an integral part of the Naval Ships Finance Management team.  

 

Your main responsibilities as a Finance Manager will involve: 

 

Leading on the management, improvement and maintenance of the control environment in accordance with the BAE Systems Operational Framework and Finance Policies Manual (and GAAP where appropriate) to satisfy all Internal Control requirements including  External and Internal Audit processes

 

Undertaking all elements of FCF Business Testing activities to provide assurance as to the robustness of the Financial Controls environment

 

Responsibility for the management and operation of the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) software across Naval Ships including providing support to  both control and process owners each month

 

Acting as the Naval Ships representative for the BAE Systems FCF Forum and for the BAE Systems Fraud Risk forum

 

Leading on management, improvement and maintenance of the fraud risk control environment at Naval Ships

 

Supporting process and system improvement projects, delivering a coherent, coordinated and efficient approach to the provision of Naval Ships Financial outputs

 

 

Your skills and qualifications as a Finance Manager:

 

Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified

 

Experience of financial accounting and controls

 

Knowledge of statutory and reporting principals and a thorough understanding of Finance Reporting Standards

 

Knowledge of Finance Controls Framework/Audit/Internal Audit and its application

 

Experience working in similar complex organisation would be an advantage

 

Experience of SAP
