Main Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Financial Director, you will plan the global audit and actively manage the UK audit, prepare consolidated accounts together with statutory accounts for the UK and international subsidiaries. You will provide guidance during the accounts preparation process, and oversee the preparation of year adjustments for international offices
 

  • Prepare the group consolidation of results and position each month including full income statement, balance sheet and cash flow

    To assist in reviewing the content of monthly management accounts to ensure they accurately reflect the actual group results, position and statutory cash flow

    On a half-yearly basis, produce all associated documentary requirements ie. the interim and full year external plc published accounts

    To produce accurate UK statutory accounts for all Mirriad entities as required including liaison with auditors and ensuring that timescales are adhered to

    To liaise with the Financial Controller and Financial Assistants to ensure all month end deadlines are adhered to, in accordance with group reporting instructions

    To support the group finance team to ensure compliance with UK corporation tax requirements

     

Person Specification

Education:

 

- The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with   post qualification experience. Preferably with some gained in a commercial environment

 

Skills, Knowledge and Attributes needed for the role:

The ideal candidate should have a financial and accounting background to include previous IFRS Reporting, consolidation and systems experience, knowledge of UK Vat guidelines, working knowledge of half year and year-end audit management and managing a multi-currency general ledger. You must have completed reporting for a publicly listed company. The jobholder will be an excellent communicator, a team with outstanding collaboration skills with internal customers.
