A Finance Officer is now sought by The Federation of British Artists (‘FBA’).

The FBA is a major visual arts charity, with administration offices and a large, contemporary gallery space (Mall Galleries) located on The Mall in Central London.  Established in 1961, the FBA provides administration, technical and marketing services, together with gallery resources for the Federation’s nine Member Societies and their annual exhibitions.  The FBA earns a large and growing share of its income from other prestigious activities.

The primary aim of the Finance Officer’s position is to provide support to the Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant qualification or be willing to study towards one, have experience of operating within a similar function and possess a good understanding of double-entry book keeping and basic accounting skills. Experience of Sage 50 and working for a Charity are desirable.

Candidates must also be able to demonstrate excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills with the ability to explain financial issues in a non-technical manner.
