The perfect candidate for this Senior Accountancy Job in Cambridgeshire will be ACCA/ACA qualified at Manager level, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience of working in a public practice accountancy firm. 

Our client is looking for an Accounts Manager who is seeking an opportunity for progression and wants to grow within the company. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop their leadership skills and assist the firm with their future strategy. You will additionally be responsible for managing a mixed portfolio of clients.

Our client is a respected and well-established accountancy firm with a vibrant internal culture, based in Cambridgeshire. They take pride in providing their customers with a range of services including Accounts preparation, Tax planning and compliance across a range of industry sectors. They work with start-ups all the way through to larger corporations ensuring that they provide their customers with friendly and expert advice.

The main responsibilities for the Accounts Manager job based in Cambridgeshire include:

  • Preparation of Limited company accounts and Financial statements for Charities
  • Acting as a first point of contact for a portfolio of clients
  • Participation on company audit work
  • Reporting and working closely with the partners
  • Supervising the work of more junior members of staff
  • Co-ordinating charity audits
  • Preparation of Management Accounts for a range of clients
  • VAT returns
  • Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns

The right candidate will be ACCA/ACA qualified and operating at Manager level, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience of working within a public practice firm. Or client will also be interested to meet with a Senior Accountant with supervisory exposure who has the drive to push forwards to the next level in their career.
