The Role

A market leading, well known, household brand in Milton Keynes are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. To be considered for the role of Financial Accountant you must be a Part qualified Accountant and have previous experience within a similar role. The Financial Accountant based in Milton Keynes, will receive a salary of up to £35000 per annum along with a very strong benefits package.

The duties of the Financial Accountant will include:

- Assisting with the production of month end statutory reports

- Maintenance of the fixed asset register

- Managing CAPEX

- Balance sheet reconciliations

- Production of timely and accurate financial statements on a monthly basis

- VAT returns and liaison with the HMRC to resolve any queries

- Improvement of current systems and process

- Liaising with external auditors

- Production of timely and accurate financial reports when required

- Ad Hoc duties when required

Your Profile

To be considered for the position of Financial Accountant you MUST:

- Be studying towards a financial qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)

- Have experience of working with Balance sheet reconciliations and month end reporting previously

- Have a strong attention to detail

- Posses intermediate excel skills as a minimum (Vlookups and Pivots)

- Have a sound background within accountancy

Ideally you will:

- Be a graduate with a 2:1 or above classification within a business based degree
