We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual with demonstrable planning and forecasting experience to fill the position of Senior Finance Analyst within our Nordic Media Networks and Distribution team. The role is based in Hammersmith, London and is a 1 year fulltime fixed term contract.

The Role
Media Distribution looks after the development and implementation of commercial strategies for the linear TV and digital distribution of The Walt Disney Company's channels and content. In the UK, the team works with local broadcast and digital partners such as Sky, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 4 and Netflix, to name a few - to bring compelling and creative Disney-branded and non-branded entertainment to viewers via a variety of platforms, including the launch of ABC Studios series, such as Criminal Minds and Scandal.

The Nordic Media Networks and Distribution Finance team is responsible for financial analysis, commercial support, collating the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for Programme Sales, Disney Channels and Digital Distribution in the Nordics.
This role will: Be responsible for producing all key deliverables for the Disney Channel multiplex The role will serve as a critical analytical finance resource to support, report and provide commercial insight to support deal renewals and help deliver the next stage in the evolution of the Nordic DC busines
Financial Planning & Analysis Gain understanding of the business, industry and region to provide relevant support to the organisation Produce and maintain planning models for the forecast Prepare summaries for planning cycles and present to Nordic Senior Management highlighting key variances, risks and opportunities Complete planning cycle templates for submission to Regional Teams Responsible for quarterly close and quarter end reporting, analysis and communication to stakeholders Day to day management of the risks and opportunities to deliver financial targets Liaise with key stakeholders to keep up to date with initiatives and developments and provide accurate forecasts
Commercial and Decision Support Commercial Support: Establish open & collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, actively demonstrating where can add value Providing financial/commercial advice, analysis and sourcing information to assist with key decision making & strategic planning Establish regular and relevant KPIs and highlight significant trends to be shared regularly with business managers and regional teams Lead ad hoc projects and analysis as required, where relevant in conjunction with other areas of the business Other As a key member of the Nordic media finance team, work together, sharing best practices, discussing and learning from each other in a supportive, collaborative environment Manage and coach the Finance Intern in providing support in tracking and system management, quarterly close and forecasting processes and ad hoc analysis Critically review processes, systems and procedures, recommend and instigate best practice
Suitable candidates will possess the following skills and experience: University educated with excellent academic record (or equivalent proven work experience); ACA or CIMA qualified with relevant PQE Demonstrated ability to work in a finance function at Senior Finance Analyst level, with excellent attention to detail and modelling skills Experience of stakeholder management and presentation to non-finance people, as well as dealing with all levels of an organisation Experience and understanding of working in a commercial, multi-cultural and multinational business environment Experience of using SAP & Cognos, or similar accounting and reporting systems Interest in Media / Broadcast industry What we offer: Competitive salary Excellent benefits A fun and high performing team environment Exposure to a truly diverse and international environment A real opportunity to advance your career
