The Role

Robert Half are working with a listed, national household name based in Chesterfield to recruit a FP&A Analyst. The FP&A Analyst is responsible for planning, analysis, decision support and controllership for the Business Unit in order to drive the performance agenda.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering the planning, budgeting and forecasting process ensuring business compliance.
  • Provision of regular, quantitative analysis and insight to drive the performance agenda, in collaboration with the Finance Director.
  • Provision of qualitative, initiative-based analysis to create insight for performance management and support key decision making.
  • Review and validation of financial performance metrics and MI to ensure accuracy and completeness, on behalf of Finance Director.
  • Responsible for collaborative working with Finance Teams and GBI to ensure that reporting and analysis produced delivers business value.
  • Drives continuous process improvements and promotes best practice.

Your profile

The successful candidate will be newly-qualified or an exceptional finalist with ACCA or CIMA with experience of FP&A work. You will need to possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to summarise large data sets. You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and experience in SAP would be beneficial.

You will need the following

  • Good understanding of performance management and financial control processes
  • Good presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex financial issues clearly & concisely and make recommendations for improvement
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A strong team focus, able to contribute effectively in a collaborative working environment
  • Strong business modelling skills, with ability to accurately understand and cross-reference multiple data sets
  • Understands the business drivers and the environment in which it operates and applies this to deliver value

Salary & Benefits

£35000 - £42000 per annum + bonus scheme, 25 days holiday and corporate benefits package
