The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a Temporary basis, located in Derby. Following the continued growth of the business, the Purchase Ledger Clerk will be working within the Finance team and will be solely responsible for the complete end-to-end Purchase Ledger function for the business. The company is currently acquiring new businesses, and has a turnover of £1 billion. This client is part of a large group and provides an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
  • Complete lifecycle of purchase ledger invoicing,
  • Checking pricing on supplier invoices and ad hoc purchase orders
  • Processing, coding and entry of overhead invoices/credit notes
  • Processing of fixed asset invoices
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Prepare supplier payment run
  • File invoices and statements
  • Act as the primary point of contact for query resolution
  • Additional duties as required within the position

Your Profile:
  • Experience of working within a busy Purchase Ledger environment
  • Been involved with the entire processing of Purchase Ledger not just other specific parts of the process
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is critical
  • You will be a team player to support your colleagues
  • Strong IT skills are required
  • Like problem-solving and able to think proactively

Salary & Benefits:
  • £8-£10 per hour
  • Free parking
