The position of Senior Finance Officer - Projects for the Chief Finance Officer’s reporting cluster will play a key role in the financial management and development of projects with departments, including Estates & Facilities and Information Services, of the University.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Financial Controller, and will be working closely with the Project Managers, the Director of Estates & Facilities and the Chief Information Officer to support the University’s financial strategy.  You will be responsible for the recording, monitoring and reporting of the projects for the university, and presenting data to wider groups. This role requires good understanding of the relationship of revenue, capital, cash and fixed assets register.  

To be considered for the role you will be at least part-qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA or equivalent) and/or a degree in a relevant subject with previous experience in financial management, managing projects and capital reporting. This role also requires excellent Excel knowledge (e.g. pivot tables) to interpret complex data and good communication skills.
