Public Practice Recruitment Ltd are looking for a bright and pro-active Payroll & Accounts Semi Senior to join our clients expanding accountancy firm based in Milton Keynes. The right candidate will be AAT qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a public practice.

To be successful in this Payroll and Accounts Job you will need to be highly client focused and a confident communicator. You will be capable of handling accounts preparation and tax work independently as well as running client payrolls. Leadership skills are important for this role as the successful Senior Accountant will be supervising others, along with being involved in the training and development of junior staff.

Our client based in Milton Keynes, is an independent firm with extensive knowledge in providing the best accounting, taxation and advisory services for their exciting client portfolio. They are an ambitious firm who pride themselves in growing their client base as well as the training and development of their staff.

The responsibilities for the Payroll and Accounts Semi Senior job in Milton Keynes include:

  • Accounts preparation for Limited Companies, Sole Traders & Partnerships
  • Reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Exciting ad-hoc projects
  • Liaising with clients and answering queries
  • Managing all work in process/deadlines to ensure all jobs are completed efficiently and on time
  • Use of SAGE Payroll
  • Running weekly, monthly and annual payroll for a range of clients

The perfect candidate will be AAT qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a public practice firm.

The ideal applicant will have experience of managing and working with a range of clients. Excellent communication skills and a strong general accountancy skill set are essential attributes for this role.

In order to apply for this position, it is essential that you have Sage Payroll experience. You must be able to work under your own initiative, work to deadlines, as well as managing multiple projects. You should be able to demonstrate previous experience processing monthly and weekly payrolls from start to finish.
